Florescent paint bandits

Postby drill on Wed Jul 28, 2010 9:11 pm

seems there is a case of bright orange roots syndrom at Jubilee. Must be the same bandits that hit Black Partridge the day before our race there...........tsk tsk

I always figured that the cross country runners at Black Partridge did that on the trails they use. Was there a running event at Jubilee recently?

Oh yes that is the case for sure. It's really kind of nasty looking. They also left behind two cases of full plastic water bottles and a bunch of empties at the junction of Plank and New. Just a weird thing to see as you are riding through the woods. Wonder what the adversion is to caution tape?

I will have a kind (or not so much) word with the RD. That is not cool.

Just rode there today, first time in a long while...Those water bottles are STILL THERE!
Who is the group that held the race?? If someone lets me know I will send them a friendly reminder.
Grit, spit, and a whole lot of duct tape!

There's been a few different races out there this year. Here's a link to the trail running website that has the schedule http://citra.ivs.org/trailraces.htm Pretty sure the races all have different RD's though. Maybe check with Running Central or Illinois Valley Striders http://www.ivs.org/

I believe it was Swamp Dogs.

I ran out there the other day and ironically thought maybe PAMBA was having a clean up day and they were there for a reason.

I'm running out there tonight and plan on cleaning them up(BTW it was not my race).

Thanks Yankee ! I was going to get out there tomorrow and check it out...The paint thing isn't a big deal just the litter.
