Brown County Camping Trip 7/23-7/25

Postby drill on Tue Jul 06, 2010 5:14 pm

Pamba will be heading to Brown County on July 23rd - 25th for our first "Meals and Wheels" camping weekend and we would love you to join us! We will enjoy and entire weekend of rockin' trails, great company and tasty dutch-oven delicacies. 2 dinners, 2 pack lunches and 2 breakfasts will be provided. Bring your own adult beverages.

On-line registration is still open until July 19th at http://www.register4races.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=MAW2010%5FBC or you can e-mail me directly at betsy@silzer.name for a form to fill out & send in via snail mail. In addition, I will have a sign up station at the Jubilee Challenge on Sunday, July 11th.

Please note: Due to the logistical difficulties invovled with shopping for & preparing food, we will not be able to allow for single day sign-ups. You are welcome to come anyway, but you will need to bring your own food.

Sounds like a really good group of people going, and I'd love to take Nick over but can't give a definitive answer as I'm gone so much this week right now.

Just wanted to put this out to gauge the interest - if the weather turned south (or not), would people be interested in a cave trip nearby? The cave I'm thinking about is near Bloomington and is for 'hardier' beginners. Pretty physical. Nick is a bit of an anomaly for a 9 year old, as he's been caving since he was 5, so I'd hesitate to say that all 9 year olds would be comfortable with this cave (there are more kid friendly caves near Bedford). Just an idea...
